We must address the affordability of prescription medication. Pharmaceutical companies are charging American consumers hundreds of times more for the same medications they are selling in Europe. Even though it is largely American tax dollars that funded the research and development of the medications. I will propose the creation of a Prescription Drug Affordability Board to determine consumer friendly prices for all major medications, and to decide what generic options should be permitted to compete with branded pharmaceuticals.
