We are the only western nation that does not provide some form of federal minimum parental leave. I will push aggressively for federal paid parental leave to allow working families to grow their homes, and raise their kids productively. My plan would see 20 weeks of federal paid maternal, and 4 weeks of federal paid paternal leave; with employers receiving tax credits on leave paid in excess of the federal requirements.
