Pennsylvania is abundant in natural resources; natural gas, minerals, and even logging. However, we can not allow those resources to be mined, drilled, or collected without the guarantee that it is done responsibly to ensure that the natural beauty of our community is maintained for future generations. Our district houses within it’s borders the best reminder of what can happen when corporate interests outweigh public safety. Centralia has been abandoned for decades since the anthracite coal mine beneath it’s roads was accidentally lit ablaze.
We have to be responsible with how we extract resources, and limit that extraction to what is beneficial to our communities and necessary.
