Israel - Palestine
There may be no more complicated geopolitical conflict than that of Israel-Palestine. After watching as these two nations have fought, made peace, and fought again repeatedly over the course of my life; I have become pessimistic that any real peace can ever be maintained between these states. I do however feel that the most realistic and hopeful solution involves a two-state plan, in which Palestine is recognized as an independent state separate from Israel.
I also believe that no solution can ever be reached so long as Israel’s military machine is funded and supplied by American tax dollars. So as a member of Congress I will never approve spending for Israeli defense.
I will also fight to address the ability for foreign governments to influence our elections through monetary contributions. In particular I will push to investigate AIPAC and their connections to Israel, and determine if the relationship violates law or principles of our republic.
